Aerial work platform and construction machinery rental in Brno
Brno is a hall market. Unlike Prague, where access to the facade determines the choice, work in South Moravia is mostly done indoors: in production halls in Kralovo Pole and Slatina, at the exhibition centre, in laboratory buildings at the technology park. This shifts the selection criteria - drive type, floor loading and stowed height become more important than working height alone.
Working in production and assembly halls
In ongoing production, three things are non-negotiable: no exhaust fumes, no tyre marks on the hall floor, and the machine must fit through the sectional door.
Electric scissor lifts meet all three requirements. The rental fleet covers working heights of 6.30 to 33.00 m, with platform loads of 227 to 1,000 kg. For work on crane runways, hall lighting and ventilation systems under the roof, the large models from 18 m are the right choice; for maintenance on production lines, 8 to 12 m with a large platform area is usually sufficient.
When you enquire, pay attention to two dimensions that are often overlooked: the stowed height (it decides whether the platform can get into the hall at all) and the permissible floor pressure - for floors with underfloor heating or above basements, this is the critical value.
For rack aisles in distribution halls along the D1 and D2, there are high-rack scissor lifts with 18.50 to 33.00 m and a narrow track.
Exhibition stand construction: working within the time window
The Brno exhibition centre has its own rhythm. Set-up and dismantling take place in tight, often night-time windows, with several trades at the same time, and at the end the hall must be left broom-clean.
For this, mast lifts with 10.00 to 12.65 m are the most practical class: light, narrow, movable by one person, and they fit through standard doors. For trusses, lighting and banner installation at great height, compact electric scissor lifts are added.
Plan the rental period beyond the exhibition window - dismantling is delayed more often than set-up, and an extended rental is cheaper than a second delivery.
Technology park and laboratory buildings
Cleanroom, laboratory and data centre projects bring requirements that play no role on conventional sites: non-marking tyres, low-particle drives, work in areas already handed over. Mention this in your enquiry - we will match the machine selection to it in advance instead of swapping machines later.
The rental fleet in figures
| Class | Working height | Basket load |
|---|---|---|
| Electric scissor lifts | 6.30 - 33.00 m | 227 - 1,000 kg |
| Diesel scissor lifts | 9.70 - 34.00 m | 363 - 1,134 kg |
| High-bay scissor lifts | 18.50 - 33.00 m | 450 - 1,000 kg |
| Articulating boom lifts | 10.89 - 48.15 m | 150 - 450 kg |
| Telescopic boom lifts | 14.00 - 56.90 m | 227 - 454 kg |
| Mast lifts | 10.00 - 12.65 m | 200 kg |
| Spider lifts | 13.00 - 39.50 m | 200 - 400 kg |
For facade and roof work on existing buildings in Brno where direct access is not possible, articulating boom lifts provide the necessary reach over obstacles. The greatest working height in the range is achieved by telescopic boom lifts with 56.90 m.
Telehandlers and excavators for South Moravian projects
On Brno's industrial sites, the telehandler is the usual companion to the platform. Fixed models lift 4.30 to 18.80 m with a load capacity of 1.25 to 25 t. Roto telehandlers reach 15.42 to 38.90 m and work all around from a single set-up - on cramped factory yards this replaces repeated repositioning. For moving material inside buildings, electric telehandlers with 5.85 to 30.00 m are available.
Excavators from 1.8 t to 30 t for site servicing, foundations and interior demolition. In addition, forklifts from 3 to 16 t and stackers with 2.70 to 5.50 m.
Transport to Brno and scheduling
Brno is around 320 km from our base in Passau. We organise transport with our own low-loaders and partner hauliers.
For plant shutdowns and trade fair dates, we agree the time window together in advance - these dates are fixed months ahead, and the machines for them are scheduled correspondingly early. For planned shutdown work, please therefore enquire in good time, not in the week before.
For requirements of several months, we invoice at long-term rental rates. Combinations of platform and telehandler are priced as a package - one transport, one contact person, one invoice.
Inspection, documentation and operator obligations in the Czech Republic
Every machine is delivered with a valid inspection record, CE documentation and operating manual. We keep track of inspection deadlines and maintenance history for the entire rental fleet.
Operator obligations at the place of use are governed by the law of the country of use. For the Czech Republic, Government Regulation No. 378/2001 Coll. is decisive; it contains a separate annex for equipment for lifting loads and persons. The inspection of mobile elevating work platforms follows CSN EN 280.
We supply the documents for your records - risk assessment and operator instruction on site remain your responsibility. The visual and function check before starting work is the operator's duty, regardless of whether the machine is rented or owned.
