Aerial work platform and construction machinery rental in Ostrava
In Ostrava, the problem is rarely height - it is weight. Plant maintenance in heavy industry means two fitters, a welding unit, tools and spare parts - the basket quickly adds up to 500 kg or more. If you have booked a platform with a 227 kg basket capacity, work stops. This page organises the rental fleet by the parameter that really matters in the Moravian-Silesian Region.
Heavy loads: basket capacity before working height
The highest-capacity class in the range is diesel scissor lifts: 9.70 to 34.00 m working height with basket capacities from 363 to 1,134 kg. This means two people plus heavy tools plus material go up in one lift instead of three.
Add up the basket load before you enquire: people with protective equipment, tools, welding unit or breaker, spare parts, plus a reserve. This total determines the class - not the working height. For the electric models the range is 227 to 1,000 kg at 6.30 to 33.00 m; they are the right choice for work in halls during operation because they run with zero local emissions.
Unpaved ground, slag, industrial brownfields
On plant premises and former industrial sites, the machine rarely stands on concrete. Slag gravel, track systems, subsidence from the mining legacy: what counts here is four-wheel drive and ground clearance, not compactness.
The rough-terrain versions of the diesel scissor lifts are built for this. For work points that cannot be reached directly - over pipe bridges, conveyor belts or stockpiles - you need reach instead: articulating boom lifts with 10.89 to 48.15 m work horizontally over obstacles with their articulated arm.
Check the load-bearing capacity in advance where the set-up area lies above channels, basements or old mine workings. With outrigger loads instead of distributed loads, the point load is considerably higher than the machine weight suggests - load distribution plates then belong in the plan.
Great heights at plants and hall roofs
Chimneys, silos, blast furnace charging platforms, crane runways, hall roofs: telescopic boom lifts offer the greatest working height in the rental fleet with 14.00 to 56.90 m and a slim profile. They need a paved, load-bearing set-up area and space for the outriggers - on narrow plant roads, this is the limiting factor, not the machine.
For rack aisles in logistics halls, there are high-rack scissor lifts with 18.50 to 33.00 m and a narrow track. Where no access route leads to the set-up point, spider lifts with 13.00 to 39.50 m are used: tracked undercarriage, lowest ground pressure in the range.

| High-rack scissor lifts | 18.50 - 33.00 m | 450 - 1,000 kg |
| Articulating boom lifts | 10.89 - 48.15 m | 150 - 450 kg |
| Telescopic boom lifts | 14.00 - 56.90 m | 227 - 454 kg |
| Spider lifts | 13.00 - 39.50 m | 200 - 400 kg |

Construction machinery for demolition and site development
The Moravian-Silesian Region is undergoing structural change: demolition, remediation of contaminated sites and new development of industrial land run in parallel. The rental fleet covers both ends.
Excavators range from the 1.8 t mini excavator for interior demolition and utility trenches to the 30 t crawler excavator for demolition and bulk excavation. The classes in between - 3.5 t, 5 t, 8.5 t, 14 t, 23 t - are available throughout, so the machine fits the task rather than the other way round.
Telehandlers handle materials without a crane: fixed models with 4.30 to 18.80 m lift height and 1.25 to 25 t load capacity, roto telehandlers with 15.42 to 38.90 m and a rotating superstructure. For handling in halls and warehouses, forklifts from 3 to 16 t.
Transport to Ostrava and the region
Ostrava is around 450 km from our base in Passau - the furthest of all the main Czech cities we deliver to. We organise transport with our own low-loaders and partner hauliers and coordinate the delivery date with your construction schedule.
At this distance in particular, planning ahead pays off: if you are planning shutdown or overhaul work, you should book the machines early - then the machine you want is ready rather than an alternative. The same scheduling applies to projects in Karvina.
For requirements of several months, we invoice on long-term rental terms - for overhaul projects running for weeks, this is the rule rather than the exception. We price combinations of platform, telehandler and excavator as a package.
Inspection, documentation and operator obligations in the Czech Republic
Every machine is delivered with a valid inspection record, CE documentation and operating manual. We keep track of inspection deadlines and maintenance history for the entire rental fleet.
Operator obligations at the place of use are governed by the law of the country of use. For the Czech Republic, Government Regulation No. 378/2001 Coll. is decisive; it contains a separate annex for equipment for lifting loads and persons. The inspection of mobile elevating work platforms follows CSN EN 280.
In industrial plants, the operator's own site rules often apply as well - access permits, work permits, site inductions. Clarify these requirements before delivery; they sometimes determine which drive type is permitted.
We supply the documents for your records - risk assessment and operator instruction remain your responsibility. The visual and functional check before starting work is the operator's duty regardless of whether the machine is rented or owned.
