Rent aerial work platforms and construction machinery in Usti nad Labem

Anyone using aerial work platforms and construction machinery in Usti nad Labem plans not by calendar weeks but by shutdown windows. Chemical plants, power station units and the transhipment operations on the Elbe shut down their facilities for a limited time - and during those days everything happens at once: pipework, repairs to the boiler house and filter plant, crane runway inspection, scaffolding. Machine density in a confined space is high, and the restart date is fixed.

Shutdown planning: machine density in the shutdown window

A shutdown window is not a construction schedule with a buffer, but a fixed time slot between shutting down and restarting the plant. Whatever is not finished within it is postponed by months; the entire equipment requirement falls on just a few days.

The machine list should therefore be settled before work preparation goes into detail. By arrangement, we reserve machines for defined time windows. Set the rental end generously - an extension is cheaper than a second delivery in the middle of the shutdown.

Boiler house, filter plant, pipe bridge: access with basket capacity

In the plant, height alone rarely decides. Fitters go up in pairs with welding equipment, tools and spare parts. Add it up before you enquire: people with protective equipment, equipment, material, reserve - this total determines the machine class.

The highest capacity comes from diesel scissor lifts with working heights of 9.70 to 34.00 m and basket capacities of 363 to 1,134 kg. In the boiler house and enclosed parts of the plant, where combustion engines are ruled out, electric scissor lifts up to 33.00 m and 1,000 kg do the same job without local emissions.

Work points behind pipe bridges, conveyor systems or filter housings can rarely be approached directly. There you need outreach rather than load capacity: articulating boom lifts work at 10.89 to 48.15 m over obstacles, the electric versions up to 28.00 m also indoors. For chimneys and tall equipment, telescopic boom lifts with 14.00 to 56.90 m deliver the greatest working height in the range.

Transhipment areas on the Elbe: quay edge, bulk goods, settlement

In the port and on the adjacent transhipment areas, the machine almost never stands on continuous concrete: bulk material residues, track systems, compacted gravel and gradual settlement shape the ground. Then there is the quay edge - backfills and sheet pile areas tolerate point loads much worse than the machine weight would suggest.

The sequence is therefore: first clarify load-bearing capacity and distance to the edge, then choose the machine class. When supported on outrigger pads, point load acts instead of distributed load - load distribution plates belong in the planning here, not in the rework. For set-up points without a drivable access route, spider lifts with 13.00 to 39.50 m are the answer: tracked undercarriage, lowest ground pressure in the rental fleet. In the rack aisles of the transhipment warehouses, high-rack scissor lifts work at 18.50 to 33.00 m.

Telehandlers, excavators and forklifts for plant and port

Where there is no crane, the telehandler takes over material handling: fixed models up to 18.80 m lift height and 25 t load capacity, roto models with 15.42 to 38.90 m and a rotating superstructure that saves repositioning in cramped works yards. Excavators cover 1.8 to 30 t operating weight - from the mini excavator for utility trenches to the 30-tonner for bulk excavation. For handling in halls and warehouses, forklifts from 3 to 16 t are available, and for light maintenance in occupied buildings mast lifts with 10.00 to 12.65 m.

Inspection records and operator obligations under Czech law

Which workplace obligations apply is determined by the law of the country of use - not by the origin of the machine or the hirer. In the Czech Republic, Government Regulation No. 378/2001 Coll. is decisive; it contains a separate annex for equipment for lifting loads and persons. The inspection of mobile elevating work platforms follows CSN EN 280, and the framework is formed by the Labour Code (No. 262/2006 Coll.) and Act No. 309/2006 Coll. Every machine leaves our yard with a valid inspection record, CE documentation and operating manual; the risk assessment, operator instruction and pre-start check remain your responsibility.

On chemical and power plant sites, site regulations also apply: access permit, work permit, Ex zones, requirements on the type of drive. Clarify these points before delivery - they decide the choice of machine more often than working height does.

Transport to Usti nad Labem

From our location in Passau it is around 330 km to Usti nad Labem, mostly by motorway. Transport is handled by our own low-loaders and partner hauliers, and the date is coordinated with your shutdown schedule. For shutdowns, we recommend a delivery window before the plant is shut down, so that the machines are already on site and the operators briefed when work starts. For rental periods of several months, long-term rental terms apply.
